Radiotherapy can bring a mixture of physical discomfort, tiredness and uncertainty about what comes next. Alongside the care provided by your treatment team, you may want a quiet space to rest and feel less caught up in the day.

Ease Radiation Treatment Side Effects is a self-hypnosis recording from Uncommon Knowledge, sold through Hypnosis Downloads. The seller describes it using soothing imagery and relaxation during or after treatment. The product name is not a promise that it reverses tissue damage or speeds healing.

A relaxation option alongside symptom care

This may interest someone looking for optional comfort rather than an alternative to radiotherapy. It cannot assess a skin reaction, repair injured tissue or determine whether a symptom is an expected side effect.

Points to consider

Tell your radiotherapy team about symptoms and follow their advice on skin care, medicines and when to contact them. If you want to listen around an appointment, ask what fits your treatment arrangements and make sure you can still follow staff instructions.

This website does not claim that the audio reduces swelling, treats burns, improves cancer control or makes recovery faster. A welcome period of relaxation, if you experience one, is different from evidence that a physical complication has resolved.
