InstagramA child can know that something feels unfair yet struggle to say no. They need adults who respect their boundaries as well as opportunities to practise expressing them.
Kids – Stand Up for Yourself is a recording from Uncommon Knowledge, sold through Hypnosis Downloads. The audio’s intended focus is assertiveness and confidence for children and tweens.
Boundaries with adult support
Parents may consider it when a child wants help with everyday assertiveness. The aim should be safe choices, not requiring them to confront someone who frightens or harms them.
Points to consider
Practise simple phrases together if your child wishes, identify trusted adults and make clear that leaving and asking for help are valid responses. Adults must act on bullying and safety concerns.
The recording cannot guarantee protection from others or stop bullying. A child is not responsible for mistreatment because they did not say no firmly enough.

Can this replace adult intervention in bullying?
No. Adults remain responsible for addressing harmful behaviour and helping keep the child safe.
How should a parent check suitability?
An adult over 18 must make the purchase. A parent or guardian should listen to the whole recording first, check the seller’s guidance and consider the child’s age, understanding and wishes. Stop if the child is uncomfortable.
