InstagramLiving with a visible difference can involve unwanted attention, intrusive questions or changes in how you feel about being seen. Those experiences are real, and other people’s unkindness is not your responsibility.
Coping With Disfigurement is a self-hypnosis recording from Uncommon Knowledge, available through Hypnosis Downloads. The audio’s described focus is feelings about appearance and confidence in everyday situations.
Comfort without pressure to change your appearance
This may interest someone seeking an optional relaxation resource alongside other support. The seller’s product name uses “disfigurement”; people differ in the language they prefer for their own appearance.
Points to consider
You might find it useful to choose a short response to intrusive questions, agree support for difficult situations or speak with a counsellor familiar with visible difference. There is no obligation to explain your medical history to strangers.
The recording cannot alter a physical feature, prevent discrimination or guarantee confidence. It does not replace medical care, rehabilitation or psychological support, and you should not be blamed if relaxation does not change how you feel.
