A persistent lump-like feeling in the throat can draw your attention back again and again. It is understandable to want relief, but the first question is what the symptom means in your circumstances.

The recording sold as Overcome Globus Hystericus is created by Uncommon Knowledge and available through Hypnosis Downloads. Its intended theme is relaxation around a throat sensation associated with tension. Globus sensation is the more neutral term used on this page.

Assessment before assuming anxiety is the cause

Globus can have several contributing factors, including irritation or muscle tension. A product description cannot determine the cause. Pain or difficulty when swallowing, a neck lump, unintentional weight loss or symptoms that do not improve need healthcare advice.

Points to consider

If a clinician has assessed your symptoms and thinks relaxation is appropriate, you can discuss whether this recording fits that plan. A calming experience, if you have one, does not confirm a diagnosis.

The audio cannot remove a physical obstruction, treat a swallowing disorder or guarantee that the sensation will stop. Breathing difficulty requires urgent medical attention rather than an assumption that it is anxiety.
