Help kids share worries

A hypnotic story to help children feel able to talk about what’s bothering them

Are you concerned that your child may be brooding over rather than sharing worries?

Are you looking for a way to reassure them it’s alright to ask for help?

Adults easily underestimate the big problems that disturb a child. We like to think that their worries are ‘childish’ and don’t really amount to much. And often, from an adult’s perspective, they don’t amount to much.

But to the child who is carrying the worries, they can seem enormous – big enough to blank out the sky. Like the child who overheard her mother telling a friend that she had “put out twelve dead men last night” – not understanding that her mother was talking about empty beer bottles. And then the mother couldn’t understand why her daughter had started having nightmares about dead bodies.

A young child’s lack of knowledge and lack of experience means they are often likely to misinterpret events or conversations – and then they don’t know what to do with their own conclusions. And you may have no idea what set off the worried frowns or withdrawn behavior that you notice.

So how can you help?

Well, you can tell them a story. But not just any story. A story that has been especially crafted for their situation.

A hypnotic story can help a child discover the solution

Kids – Share your worries is an audio download created especially for young children who seem overburdened with hidden anxieties. Using embedded storytelling to ‘mirror’ the child’s situation, it allows the child to identify with story characters and find a way through.

Repeated listening will help the child unconsciously absorb and integrate the message that everyone has troubles, and sometimes these troubles are not as big as they seem, and it really is okay to ask for help.
